Franchise Evaluation Process Shake's Frozen Custard, Inc. has a proven process to help attract and retain franchisees that can succeed within its system. Although some effort is required on the part of the candidate, we have found that strong, mutually-rewarding partnerships are forged because of the time both franchisor and candidate invest in the evaluation process. We believe that our open, collaborative process makes for an informed business decision, where major issues are understood and agreed upon before candidates invest in their franchise. Step 1 - Request for Consideration to Franchise There is a short questionnaire, entitled Request for Consideration to Franchise, for you to fill out and then submit to us. This information will help us to prequalify you for a franchise license and get you started on the road to operating a Shake's Frozen Custard in your area. Step 2 - Franchise Application Once you have been prequalified, you are now a candidate to receive a franchise license. The next step in the process is to fill out a formal application which will be used to determine your background and experience. Step 3 - Financial Statement The third step in the franchisee evaluation process is to complete a financial statement, which will allow us to examine your financial capabilities and determine the best route for you to secure financing for the business' assets. Step 4 - Disclosure Once you have passed the first three steps it is now time to visit the Home Office and receive a Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC). The UFOC details the agreements offered by us and discusses them in plain English that is easy to reference and understand. You will also have a chance to tour a Corporate Shake's Frozen Custard facility. Step 5 - Signing After you have thoroughly reviewed the UFOC, the next step in the process is the signing of your license agreements. At the signing ceremony you will receive all of the Shake's Operations, Opening, and Marketing manuals which are loaned to you for the operation of the franchise. Additionally, we will work together to establish time lines for your attendance at the training program, Shake's Custard College. You will also be assigned your Shake's Operating Specialist who will help lead you through the construction and operating phases of the franchise process. Step 6 - Opening Finally, it is now time to open your Shake's Frozen Custard Franchise. When you open, your Shake's Operations Specialist will travel to your franchise and work with you making sure your operation is running smoothly, assisting in training your staff, and answering any remaining questions you might have. |
